Privacy Policy

Lines Design Studio treats the protection of personal data as one of its priorities. Due to the huge number of customers who trusted us and decided to make a purchase from our Distributors or online, via the website www.linesdesignstudio.com, we feel particularly responsible for the security of personal data processed by us. Our goal is to provide current and proper information on matters related to the processing of personal data.

Below we present in detail the circumstances in which we collect information about you, our guest, client, contractor. Each time we will discuss the purpose and legal basis for which we collect your personal data, we will indicate the scope of the collected data, as well as inform you about the period for which this personal data will be processed by us. In addition, we will inform you about all your rights related to the processing of personal data by us. Remember that the processing of your data always respects applicable laws, both national and those applicable within the European Union (including the GDPR).

PERSONAL DATA, WHAT SHOULD BE UNDERSTOOD BY THE TERM AND WHAT THEIR PROCESSING MEANS.

Personal data means information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Therefore, personal data will be both such data that allow us to determine the identity of a specific person, as well as those that do not allow for its immediate identification, but are, with some cost, time and activities, especially with the use of easily available and commonly available sources sufficient to determine it. In other words, personal data is not single information of a high degree of generality, e.g. street name and house number or salary. However, this information will constitute personal data when it is combined with other additional information, which in consequence can be related to a specific person (e.g. name and surname). However, the concept of personal data processing covers practically all possible activities performed on personal data, regardless of whether they are automated or not. Therefore, the processing of personal data will include, among others: collecting, storing, recording, organizing, modifying, viewing, using, sharing, limiting, deleting or destroying data.

ON WHAT BASIS WE PROCESS YOUR DATA

We would like to point out that in most cases our processing of your personal data is based on the premise of performance of the contract or actions taken before the conclusion of the contract. In other words, we process your data to the extent necessary due to the fact that, for example, you have purchased or ordered goods offered by us, you have an employment contract with us or we have various types of commercial contract (or you intend to conclude such a contract with us). Occasionally, we process your personal data due to the fact that it is required by applicable law. For example, data contained in sales documents (e.g. VAT invoice) are processed by us due to the fact that the law requires documenting sales in a specific way, indicates the scope of data that must be included in this type of document and specifies the time, why we are obliged to store this data. There are also situations in which we process your personal data on the basis of your consent. Remember that we will explicitly ask you for such consent each time. Such a request for consent will be presented in a way that allows it to be distinguished from other issues, in an understandable and easily accessible form, in clear and simple language. The last premise we use to process your personal data is the so-called the legitimate interest of the administrator, i.e. ours. The word “legally” does not mean that our interest must have a basis in applicable law (in such a situation we are dealing with processing required by law). Such an interest is, for example, monitoring the premises of our distributors’ showrooms or carrying out customer satisfaction surveys. At the same time, we would like to assure you that whenever we intend to process personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest, we try to analyze and balance our interest and the potential impact on your person (positive and negative) of this particular processing activity, as well as process personal data only and exclusively in situations where your interests or your fundamental rights and freedoms are not overridden by our interests.

WHEN AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

First of all, we would like to inform you that without your express consent your personal data will not be shared with any third parties that could use this data for their own purposes. An exception to the above rule is the sharing of some of your personal data with authorized and state authorities (including offices) operating on the basis and within the framework of applicable law, banks that receive data related to financial transactions from us, as well as postal operators and courier/transport companies, who deliver goods purchased from us.

In addition, we would like to point out that we share your personal data with third parties that provide specific services for us. Among such service providers, we can distinguish in particular:

A law firm that considers any complaints submitted by you on our behalf, IT companies that manage and maintain IT infrastructure for us, entities providing marketing services to us, in particular related to tools that use cookies, entities that provide us with advisory services, including law firms, entities running a hotline for us – Customer Service Office, and third parties cooperating with us in the performance of specific contracts concluded with you.

However, we would like to assure you that these service providers have been properly selected by us and obliged, under relevant contracts, to use the data entrusted to them only in accordance with our guidelines and for the purpose strictly defined by us.

In addition, we would like to inform you that in some cases your personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. This applies primarily to entities offering tools for monitoring, controlling and collecting information about your activity on our websites and the use of cookies, as well as entities offering e-mail sending. However, we would like to assure you that in such situations we have taken all necessary measures to ensure adequate protection of the personal data provided, including by providing data to countries and entities that, according to the European Commission, ensure an adequate level of personal data protection, and are members of relevant associations or programs, e.g. Privacy Shield, or by transferring data only on the basis of an agreement using the so-called standard contractual clauses, taking into account the EU requirements for the transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area.

WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE IN RELATION TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA BY LINES DESIGN STUDIO

  • the right to withdraw consent,
  • the right to access personal data,
  • the right to rectify data,
  • the right to delete data,
  • the right to limit processing,
  • the right to data portability,
  • right to object,
  • the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.

However, if you have additional questions, reservations or doubts regarding the manner in which we process your personal data, you can always send an e-mail with a relevant inquiry to info@linesdesignstudio.com. Any inquiries received from you will be dealt with promptly.

CHANGE OF PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy is subject to systematic audits and its content may change, in particular in the event of changes in the law, new guidelines of the authorities responsible for the supervision of personal data protection processes or the emergence of codes of good practice for commercial industries. We would also like to point out that the type of services we provide, as well as the methods of obtaining and processing data will change over time. This Policy will be updated on a regular basis to reflect these changes. Remember that by using our website, you accept the rules set out in this Policy and each of your visits to our website is tantamount to acceptance of the rules contained in its content. Therefore, we encourage you to visit this page whenever you provide us with your personal data, so as to familiarize yourself with the latest version of the applicable Privacy Policy.

WHAT DATA LINES DESIGN STUDIO PROCESSES

Lines Design Studio offers users various types of services that can be used in different ways. Depending on whether you contact us online, by phone, in person or otherwise, and which services you use, different data is processed from different sources. Much of the data we process is provided by the user himself when using our services or when contacting us, for example when registering and providing his name and e-mail address or postal address for this purpose. We also obtain technical device data and access data that is recorded automatically when you interact with our services. This may be, for example, information about the user’s device. We collect other data as part of our own data analysis (e.g. as part of market research and in the form of customer analysis). We also obtain data about you from third parties, such as information agencies and payment service providers, when necessary.

When we talk about “user data”, we mean personal data. This is all information with which we are able to identify you immediately or in combination with other information. Examples: name, phone number, customer number, order number or email address of the user. All information that does not enable (also in combination with other information) the user’s identification is treated as non-personal data. Non-personal data is also referred to as anonymous data. If your personal data is combined with anonymous data, all data in such a package is treated as personal data. If we remove personal data from information or a data package about you, then the remaining data in that data package is no longer considered personal data. This procedure is referred to as anonymization. As a general rule, if we ask you to provide certain personal information, you may, of course, decline our request. You decide what information you provide to us. Presumably, in such a situation, however, we will not be able to provide you with the selected services (or they will not be available in an optimal way). For example, we cannot deliver a package without providing a delivery address. If only specific information (mandatory information) is required in connection with a specific service, we will inform you about this by means of an appropriate designation.
